What is Virtual Design?
Do you wish you had a friend with design experience and passion—a friend you could trust to take your Pinterest boards and help you bring them to life?
Someone who had the time and talent to turn your space into something special? A space you love coming home to and sharing with friends?
Virtual design is the perfect solution! It’s where I come alongside you online and help you create a warm, inviting space to call home.
Here’s how it works:
With my virtual design package, we work together online to remake your room into a space that you love. A custom space that reflects your own personal style and flair. In a way that works with your timeframe and budget.
And the great thing is there’s a flat fee, so you know up front what you’re paying and what you’re receiving.
My design style is full of color, texture, and pattern. Done in a way that isn’t overpowering, bossy, or cluttered. My ultimate desire is to create rooms with lots of personality and style that are approachable and comfortable. Rooms that reflect the folks who live in them.
Full Room Virtual Design Package
First, we do an information intake where I learn about your space and your needs—you’ll fill out a questionnaire, provide me with inspirational images, and measurements of your room, as well as photos of your current space. (Don’t worry, I’ll help you figure out exactly how to do that.)
Once I have those things back from you we will schedule a short FaceTime or Zoom call where you can give me a virtual tour of the room we’ll be working on. And we’ll also go over the details of the info you’ve submitted to me so together we can develop a custom plan for your space.
Then the magic starts to happen. I’ll jump into the design process and begin putting together a plan for you. Typically it takes about 1 to 2 weeks for me to prepare the initial design for you.
That initial design consists of:
A floor plan showing furniture placement (if applicable to your project)
Two concept boards to choose from consisting of the recommended items and mood of the space
When it’s ready I’ll share it with you, and you will be able to able to share your thoughts and feedback.
From those two boards we will narrow down your favorites. If needed, I’ll provide up to 2 refining boards as we tweak the design to be the look that makes your heart sing.
Once we’ve finalized the design I’ll send you:
a shopping list with direct links, prices, and any notes you need to be aware of when purchasing.
detailed instructions for set up and installation.
Then you will be able to take the plan, make the purchases, and execute the installation of those pieces. Voilà! The room you dreamed of!
Suzy’s Process

To begin the process you submit a payment of 50% deposit to begin our work together
I’ll send you a questionnaire to fill out letting me know a little about you and your tastes
You submit a number of photos of the space, as well as the room dimensions and a simple sketch of the room
You share with me a Pinterest board with inspiration images, as well as any other images you like
Once I’ve reviewed the above mentioned things we will schedule a 30 minute FaceTime/Zoom call where you show me the room and we discuss the needs and wants you have

Once those steps have been taken I will—
Create a floor plan based on your dimensions. From that I’ll put together the best layout for the room in a visual 2D form for you to use in your room set up
Source furniture and create a design board for the space
At this point the final 50% payment is due before the completed design files are released
Present the floor plan and design board to you. We will discuss any changes you want to see happen via email. From that discussion I will revise the board (one time only)
Present the revised design
Submit to you a shopping list with direct links, prices, and instructions for ordering
Submit to you instructions for setup and installation

A follow up email to answer any questions that you may have encountered in the set up process. (any time inside 45 days of the delivery of shopping list and setup instructions.)
